Hey kids!   Get up close to marine animals like crabs and snails!

The Touch Tank exhibit is provided by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.   TPWD's Coastal Expo Mission: Increase public awareness of Texas coastal ecosystems, why they are important, and how people can protect them.   Reservations are not required.   For schedule information please see the daily Saturday and Sunday daily schedules.

A portable touch pool allows visitors to gently touch marine animals such as blue crabs, hermit crabs, stone crabs, snails and even anemones. The animals displayed live in a variety of habitats along the Texas coast and have developed many ways to survive conditions brought about by the tides, waves and predators.
